摘  要
企业文化作为企业的软实力,对企业的发展有着极其重要的作用。企业文化与国家文化有着密不可分的关系。因此国家文化对企业文化产生了深远的影响。娃哈哈作为一家成立不到30年的企业,已经建立了较为健全又不失特色的企业文化,树立了良好的形象。
可口可乐公司作为世界性的知名饮料生产商,企业文化内涵非常丰厚。
本文的研究方法有定性分析和定量分析两种。定性分析的资料主要来自一些关于可口可乐集团和娃哈哈集团的书和论文。定量分析的数据来自 2008 年到 2015 年可口可乐和娃哈哈官方网站首页发布的新闻报道。本文发现中美两个饮料企业的文化直接或间接地体现了本国的文化取向、价值观念、社会规范、思维方式等。
最后,作者试图通过两个公司企业文化的深层次研究,揭示中美两国文化深层差异的内涵。

Abstract
Corporate culture, as the software of an enterprise, is of great importance on the development of the enterprise. Corporate culture has an inseparable relationship with national culture. Therefore, national cultural exerts a profound influence on the study of corporate culture. Wahaha, as a new beverage company less than 30 years old, has built an excellent and unique corporate culture and established a good image. Coca Cola, one of the most influential beverage producers in the world, has set up profound corporate culture.
Two major research methods are adopted in this thesis. In the qualitative analysis, information is collected by reading books and theses on Coca Cola and Wahaha. In the quantitative analysis, data derives from press releases which were published from 2008 to 2015 in Coca Cola and Wahaha’s official websites. This thesis found that the corporate culture of these two beverage companes reflects the cultural orientation, values, social norms, and thinking patterns of two nations. Therefore, the thesis attempts to reveal the connotations of cultural divergences between China and the United States by researching the corporate culture of two beverage companies.

With the development of business management science, corporate culture has become one of the key factors to determine the success of corporations. Corporate culture began to enter our country since 1984. Most corporate culture studies focused on such areas as manufacturing, high-tech, and consumer goods industries. A lot of books and treaties focus on corporations’ business management, but few of them focus on the construction of a sound corporate culture. It is a pity that few of them concentrate on the study of the relationship between national culture and corporate culture itself.
For 28 years, with the help of “family culture”, Wahaha has been improving the technology level and market share. Today, the company has gained market initiative in China. However, its counterpart Coca Cola Company has been one of the world’s largest beverage giant with the strong competitiveness because of the long-term strategies guided by its own corporate culture. Therefore, on one hand, it is meaningful and necessary to investigate some well-known companies’ corporate culture. On the other hand, it is important to find out the differences between two corporate cultures.
In conclusion, the motivations of this study are as follows. This thesis attempts to analyze corporate cultures of Coca Cola and Wahaha. At the same time, the thesis tries to find out the cultural differences of their corporate cultures and to analyze the deep roots of these cultural differences.
Scholars have offered a number of definitions of culture from different perspectives. But the most widely accepted definition of culture is from Hall (1977). According to Hall, ""Culture is the total accumulation of beliefs, customs values, behaviors, institutions and communication patterns that are shared, learned and passed down through the generations in an identifiable group of people.""
There are some major features of culture. Culture is not innate; it is learned. Culture is transmitted from generation to generation. Culture facets are interrelated. Culture is dynamic.  Among these features, a predominant feature is ethnocentrism. The feature of ethnocentrism has played a great role in the research of corporate culture between Coca Cola and Wahaha. Corporate culture has a close relationship with ethnocentrism.。
