一、学情分析
学生从小接触得较多的是中文诗歌,对英文诗歌的认识较少,加上中英文的差异性,学生在面对英文诗歌的时候容易产生惧怕心理。然而,中英文诗歌写作手法上是存在一些共同的修辞手法,如押韵,隐喻等,所以学生在本节课着重学习以上两个手法,同时,设计上会先易后难,让学生消除对诗歌的恐惧。
且通过识别、回忆、理解、分析及不同层次的运用帮助学生掌握英文诗歌写作的两个重要手段。
此外,本课的诗歌主题为表达对母亲的爱,学生对于“母亲”这一主题的作品接触较多,配合视频、诗歌鉴赏及分析、音乐等,学生更容易产生情感共鸣,从而为后续创作自己的诗歌做准备。

二、教材分析
学习英文诗歌对激发学生的英语学习兴趣和培养学生的文学素养起着重要的作用。诗歌是语言艺术的瑰宝,以其简练的语言,精简的句式,优美的旋律,丰富的意境,传达作者的情感。
学生通过对诗歌中饱含情感的语言、形象的理解,与自己情感达到共鸣,从而使自己的情感内涵趋向丰富,提高他们的审美能力和人文素养。本课将通过多首简单的诗歌,让学生感受诗歌结构,理解押韵、隐喻的用法。通过举例、总结从而达到对两种手法的理解,再通过对两种修辞手法的综合运用、分析,最后创作出自己的诗歌。
三、教学目标

(一)语言能力:
1.理解及辨别英文诗歌押韵、隐喻两种修辞手法的使用;
2.在英文诗歌中正确使用押韵、隐喻;
3.运用诗歌表达个人情感。


(二)思维品质:通过完成课堂任务,提升理解、应用、分析、评价和创造思维能力。

(三)文化品格:对母亲的伟大付出产生共鸣,感恩母亲。


(四)学习能力:提升学习英文诗歌兴趣、表达情感及对他人展示的评价能力。

(一)教学重点:诗歌的简单赏析以及对诗歌写作手法押韵以及隐喻的用法。


(二)教学难点:正确使用诗歌的两种重要修辞手法,用诗歌表达对母亲的爱。

T: Yes. So last Sunday was Mother’s Day. I know some of you did something special to express your gratitude and love to your mother. Actually in our daily life, there are many ways for us to express love. Today, we are going to learn another way to express love—POEM. Poems can express love with beauty, style and strong feeling.

T: Now let’s look at this poem. Let’s listen and enjoy its beauty.
T: It’s your turn to read the poem with emotion and try to pay attention to its sounds.
T: Can you find anything special in its sounds?
Ss: Dear, near. Way, day.
T: Yes, it has similar sounds at the end of each line. What do we call this in poetry?
Ss: Rhyme.
T: And look at the title and the last line, what does sunshine refer to ?
Ss: Mother.
T: Yes, and we can it metaphor. It’s a hidden comparison, which means you don’t need to use the words like or as, just use am, are, is.
